Frechet Distribution

A distribui¸c˜ao Frech´et tamb´em conhecida por Weibull inversa tem recebido alguma

aten¸c˜ao. A distribui¸c˜ao Weibull ´e bastante conhecida da literatura estat´ıstica, seu uso em

quest˜oes de confiabilidade (como ´e conhecida nas engenharias) ou an´alise de sobrevivˆencia

(como ´e conhecida na literatura m´edica) ´e amplamente difundido. Na pr´atica, os dados podem

ser esbo¸cados das mais variadas formas gr´aficas e novas distribui¸c˜oes s˜ao propostas na

tentativa de model´a-los. Ultimamente vem sendo observado um grande interesse em estudar

modifica¸c˜oes e generaliza¸c˜oes da distribui¸c˜ao Weibull em diversos artigos cient´ıficos e uma

de suas modifica¸c˜oes ´e distribui¸c˜ao chamada de distribui¸c˜ao Frech´et ou Weibull inversa que

tem a caracter´ıstica de unimodalidade na fun¸c˜ao de risco

Using the expression 4 that was written a routine in the software R (see appendix) for

the estimates of maximum likelihood, the command used was the BFGS of the programming

language R to esteem the values of the vector of parameters θ = (α, β, γ)T as of the generalized

inverse Weibull distribution for the data of the cattle of the Nelore race. Through of

the method of Kaplan-Meier we obtained the values of the empiric survival function for the

data in study, the procedures for obtaining graph of the f(t), S(t) and h(t) from R.

In the Figure 2 we showed the histogram from nelore data with density fit to GIWD, IWD

and the empirical distribution from data.
