RE: Baggage Lost

Dear Corporate Office of Silver Airways,

I recently returned to Virginia from Florida. My flight from TPA flight UA372 on November 11, 2014 was delayed 2 hours from United Airlines, which cause me to miss my meeting that day. So I arrived in Tampa at 12:32pm TPA to FLL flight 3M66 on November 11, 2014. When I arrived in Tampa first thing I did was ask the representative form Silver Airways if I need to pick up my luggage and her answer was no. I also ask the representative that I need to be in Fort Lauderdale at 2:30 pm due to a very important meeting, the representative told that was not flight available until 5pm. So I have to wait for 4 hours at the airport. Since the first flight was on delayed they change it the hours for the next flight. So I did my check in to Tampa to FLL.

My luggage, which was supposed to be checked all the way through to my final destination, baggage tag No. 0016027625 has apparently been completely miss-placed and possibly off loaded in Fort Lauderdale

The ground staff at the Fort Lauderdale lost luggage counter, where I spoke with some employees that night. They informed me that they would be in touch within (24) hours to inform me of where and when my luggage would be tracked down and arriving.

It has been stressful due to me lost my luggage and no clothes to wear on that evening and for my important meeting that I have the following day. I have to buy new clothes and all personal stuff due to the irresponsible airlines. Which never offer to pay for nothing at the moment. I’ve expend so far $250.00 in new suit and personal needs, plus the cab from the hotel to the airport. I need to see how they airline are going to reimburse me for this extra expense due the delay of my luggage.

The next day I called the Silver Airways to follow up and I have spoken numerous times since my arrival and has absolutely no information for me as to the whereas bouts of my luggage. Finally on November 12 after been express with numerous call, I got a call from a representative of Silver Airways and told me that they found my luggage but they can delivery until next day which will be Thursday morning. So I have to be without clothes and personal stuff for 2 days. So I have to be missing my meeting to go to the airport to pick up my luggage that suppose the airlines mistake delivery.

I find it completely unprofessional how in our world today with the security and technology available to you as a large airline can completely miss-place baggage. I’ve attached the report no # 10754 as well.

I believe that I am entitled to some form of compensation from the airline.
