INTRODUÇÃO
Brazil has wide range of tourist spots, we have examples in the five major regions: Amazon Theatre, Meeting of the Waters, Fernando de Noronha, Forte dos Reis Magos, the Three Powers Square, Lapinha Cave, Copacabana Beach, Iguaçu National Park, among many others.
In Belo Horizonte in the Sumidouro State Park, we can find one of the great tourist attractions, the Lapinha Cave. Comprising a block of limestone formed over 600 million years. The composition is of gravel and hardened residues of the seabed that were accumulated in overlapping layers.
Its interior adornments are formed for crystallized calcite, and in its various forms they give it names to the halls: Hall Entrance, Room of the Cataracts, Room of the Cauliflower, Hall of the Cathedral, Room of the Pyramid, Corner of the Lamp, Room of the Sheep and Nativity Scene Gallery.

The Lapinha’s Cave is an important Historical-Cultural Heritage, located in Lagoa Santa and voted one of the seven wonders of the Royal Road. Discovered in 1835 by Dr. Peter W. Lund, the imposing limestone block has 511m long and 40m deep, formed about 600 million years.
Belonging to the Sumidouro State Park and protected by the APA Lagoa Santa Karst, the Grotto receives an average of 20,000 visitors each year. Its structure replete at halls, covered by stalagmites and stalactites, provides a real dive in history. It posses an artificial lighting system and a set of curtains called candlesticks, where we can observe surprising ways, originated from espeleotema formations, standing out cauliflower, cascade, curtain and pyramids, among many others.
Visits are scheduled with groups of up to 25 people, accompanied by guides properly prepared to interact and educate tourists complexity and richness of this natural monument.
CONCLUSÃO
The Lapinha Cave is one of the most popular tourist point of Lagoa Santa, with its huge area and its visitation rooms, each featuring a feature that give names the same.
As a positive point, it is located only 48 km away from the square 7 in Belo Horizonte and has bus line that makes the route Belo Horizonte-Lapinha daily.
Voted as one of the seven wonders of the Royal Road, its charms and beauties attract every year about 20,000 tourists both foreign visitor as the national.
