Change, to enhance the image.

The discriminations, scorns and prejudices expressed by a large part of the population against all military police are clear and well-known. Is all this a reflection of the military government? Or simply because we are seen as unworthy, ragged, brutish, uneducated, unprepared, violent, disqualified, inhuman, and lawbreaking "Elements," among other adjectives?

It is known that during the military government the military police was seen only as an instrument of oppression in favor of the state. For it has always been used to suppress manifestations and or attacks by groups that wanted to seize power and establish a dictatorship of the proletariat in the country.

In addition, we are branded unprepared by the "experts" in policing, who constantly demand the end of the police force as it is today. But they have never been at the forefront of police work to know their difficulties and needs.

In view of the above, it is necessary to work conscientiously on the importance of police to society and to remove from these thoughts the adjectives that are assigned to us. There is much to be done, especially by the rulers of Brazil, in order to improve the image of the Institution and its acceptance.
