Resumo
A pesquisa deste grupo apresenta um estudo sobre a 3º geração de computadores. Tem como objetivo mostrar o período em que essa geração surgiu, seu diferencial e sua evolução.
A pesquisa realizada apresenta os dados de que a 3º geração ocorreu de 1965-1971, foi marcada pela sua principal evolução: a substituição dos transistores por circuitos integrados (IC), sistema inventado por Jack Kilby. Os componentes eletrônicos, inclusive o transistor, são colocados em um mini chip. Esse avanço tecnológico permitiu que os computadores se tornassem mais confiáveis, eficientes e menores. Nessa geração foram utilizados os processamentos remotos, time-sharing e multiprogramação.
O fim dessa importante geração foi marcado através do lançamento do primeiro Microprocessador, fator que agregou grande destaque na integração do início da 4º geração.
Essa pesquisa obteve como resultado o valor que a 3º geração teve na evolução dos aparelhos eletrônicos, principalmente nos computadores, pois essa evolução permitiu a atual utilização desse aparelho com mais facilidade e mobilidade.
Abstract
The research of this group presents a study on the 3rd generation of computers. It aims to show the period in which this generation arose, its differential and its evolution.
The research carried out presents the data that the 3rd generation occurred from 1965-1971, was marked by its main evolution: the replacement of transistors by integrated circuits (IC), a system invented by Jack Kilby. The electronic components, including the transistor, are placed on a mini-chip. This technological advancement has made computers more reliable, efficient, and smaller. In this generation, remote processing, time-sharing and multiprogramming were used.
The end of this important generation was marked by the launch of the first Microprocessor, a factor that added great prominence in the integration of the beginning of the 4th generation.
This research resulted in the value that the 3rd generation had in the evolution of electronic devices, especially in computers, since this evolution allowed the current use of this device with more ease and mobility.
