RESUMO

A Matemática Financeira possui diversas aplicações no atual sistema econômico.

ABSTRACT

The Financial Mathematics has several applications in the current economic system. Some situations are present in daily life, such as home and car loans, performing loans, installment credit or purchase with a credit card, investments, investments in stock exchanges, among other situations. All financial transactions are based on the prior stipulation of interest rates. When performing a loan in the form of payment is via monthly installments plus interest, ie, the value of repayment of the loan is greater than the initial value of the loan. The difference that we call interest. The concept arose of interest at the moment man realized that the existence of an affinity between money and time. Situations of accumulation of capital and currency devaluation gave the idea of interest because it happened due to the momentary value of money. Some mathematical tables were characterized by the organization of data and texts reported the use and distribution of agricultural inputs through mathematical operations. The Sumerians recorded documents on tablets, such as invoices, receipts, promissory notes, loans, simple and compound interest, mortgages, deeds of sales and endorsements.
