The saga begins in 2003 with the publication of a monthly comic book by US publisher Image Comics. The story was written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Tony Moore (and later, Charlie Adlard). With the time passing by, the comics were sold in a few days. The TV series, with the adaptation of the story, debuted in 2010 on AMC.

 Robert Kirkman is a writer of comics, famous for 'The Walking Dead', 'Invincible', 'Ultimate X-Men' and 'Marvel Zombies'. In 2010, he became producer of the TV series 'The Walking Dead', adapting the comic book script. Leads to nerdiness vein: his son’s name is Peter Parker.

Story

The story in the comic is a little different from the story in the TV series, for example Carol's husband never appears in the comics, there is only one reference to him as dead. Or some deaths don’t happen on TV. The Walking Dead is a series of comic books based on a zombie apocalypse. This possibility of end of the world is approached from the 1960, age of release of the film "Night of the Living Dead." But in The Walking Dead the film "Night of the Living Dead" was never release, so the zombie term is not known, that’s why they call zombies to Walkers.

The Walking Dead tells the story of a group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse. The history centers on Rick Grimes, a police officer of a US country town. He wakes up alone in a hospital room, when you realize that something has changed. From then he needs to run away and find someone that can explain what is happening. After much suspense, he discovers that a virus has infected most of the world's population and finds his family with a group of survivors. The series still has the special participation of Vincent Martella and Tyler James Williams (Greg and Cris of sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris”).

A história foi escrita por Robert Kirkman e ilustrada por Tony Moore (e, posteriormente, Charlie Adlard). Com o passar do tempo, as HQ’s eram vendidas em poucos dias. A série de TV, com a adaptação da história, estreou em 2010 na AMC.

Historia

A historia na HQ é um pouco diferente da historia na serie de TV, for example, o marido de Carol nunca aparece nos quadrinhos, só existe uma referência a ele como morto. Ou algumas mortes não acontecem  na TV. The Walking Dead é uma série de histórias em quadrinhos baseada em um apocalipse zumbi. Esta possibilidade de fim do mundo é abordada desde a década de 1960 época de lançamento do filme “A Noite dos Mortos Vivos”. Mas em The Walking Dead o filme “A noite dos mortos vivos” nunca foi lançado, ou seja, o termo zumbi não é conhecido, esse é o motivo deles chamarem os zumbis de WALKERS.
