Meeting her parents

A few months ago, I was invited to a dinner at my girlfriend's house to meet her parents. I was a little afraid of what her parents would think of me. That fear that invades us for not knowing what will be the impression they will have of us is terrible. It is easier for a boy to receive parental support when presents a girlfriend than a girl presenting her boyfriend. Maybe they are enjoying you, but you automatically think that they didn't liked. Parental expectations will change from family to family.
The important thing I did was to get their confidence gradually, showing that you are the right guy. When parents of the girlfriend are in front of you, all the speeches and ideas tested in front of the mirror go into space, the clothes that looked beautiful going to look horrible, and the hair! Oh! the hair!
This moment is so embarrassing and strange that many prefer not to face. Relationships that require parental permission has different degree of importance, are kind of life changing; so maybe, because of that we suffer with stress during this first meeting.
